Discover Your Sound
Through Private Lessons
At Shine Music, private lessons are about more than just learning an instrument—they’re about helping every student discover the joy, confidence, and focus that music brings. Our one-on-one lessons are designed for children and adults of all abilities, including students with diverse learning needs such as Autism, ADHD, OCD, and more.
Every lesson is fun, positive, and personalized. We celebrate progress, big or small, and focus on building skills that extend far beyond music: attention, self-expression, emotional regulation, and social confidence. Whether it’s piano, guitar, voice, drums, or whatever sparks your passion, our instructors create a supportive space where every student feels encouraged, celebrated, and excited to make music.

Your Time to Shine: Recitals and Performance Opportunities
At Shine, we believe music is meant to be shared! Twice a year, our private lesson students can perform in our supportive, family-friendly recitals — one in June and one in December. These optional events let students celebrate progress, build confidence on stage, and enjoy performing for an encouraging audience. Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, it’s all about having fun, shining bright, and cheering each other on.
Exam Preparation & Certification
For students preparing for music exams like RCM or others, our instructors create tailored lesson plans to build skills and confidence. Lessons focus on both technical mastery and performance readiness, helping every student feel prepared and supported every step of the way.

Yes! Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons, especially if their child feels more comfortable having them there. That said, we encourage students to become independent as quickly as possible, since it often helps them settle in and grow more confidently.
For parents who prefer to wait nearby, we have a cozy waiting area where you can enjoy a coffee, read a book, or relax. We’re also just a short drive from shops on Kelsey Drive, so you can easily run an errand while your child is in their lesson.
